Pete Chaney

SIKESTON - Carl P. "Pete" Chaney Jr., 50, formerly of East Prairie, died at 12:01 a.m. Oct. 14, 2004, at his home.

Born Sept. 2, 1954, in Peoria, Ill., son of the late Carl P. and Bertie Irene Hurley Chaney, he was a truck driver.

Survivors include: one son, Ronny Chaney of Sikeston; four daughters, Heather Chaney and Leslie Moreland of Ellsinore and Megan Chaney and Hollie Stoner of Sikeston; one brother, Clarence Chaney of Sikeston; one sister, Carla Heabel of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and a special friend, Keli Stoner of East Prairie.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. Ernest Brown will officiate.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
