COLUMBIA - Thomas McClure, Sikeston, was formally initiated into Phi Delta Theta, a social fraternity at the University of Missouri.

SIKESTON - The annual exposition of the Okeechobee district of the Boy Scouts, "A world of Good Times," drew about 2,500 Scouts and visitors to the Armory Saturday to witness Scouting in action. The theme came into view from a 10-by-10-foot unisphere on the front lawn. Inside the building hung space-age satellites and small models of rockets.

SIKESTON - The annual Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the Junior Women's club, will be held Saturday in Malone Park. Co-chairmen are Ava Allen and Carol McArthur.

SIKESTON - A Sikeston grocery store was robbed early Wednesday night by a man who fits the description of one who earlier robbed stores in Perryville and Festus. The subject who robbed the Sikeston store also fits the description of a man who robbed a Cape Girardeau store last Wednesday night.

SIKESTON - March has brought with it the end of an era. Jeanne Williams' resignation from the Sikeston Public Schools Board of Education has been accepted with heavy heart. After 12 years of relentless dedication she said a teary goodbye to the many friends, admirers and co-workers she leaves behind.


SIKESTON - Sikeston Bulldog second team all-state wide receiver Tyrone Mosley will be representing Sikeston in the Annual Lion's club East/West All-

Star Football game. Mosley, along with cheerleader Corrie Pfefferkorn, will be sponsored by local businesses and the Lion's Club.
