AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Johnie "Herbert" Hubbard, 78, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 9 a.m. Nov. 15, 2007, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
Born Feb. 2, 1929, in Corning, Ark., to the late Thomas Butler and Clida Ellen Flanigan Hubbard, he attended Trinity Chapel Church.
Survivors include: one son, David Hubbard of Auburndale; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Johnny Meredith of Pensacola, Donna and Larry Lands of Auburndale, Lucy and James Martin of Brush Creek, Tenn. and Nancy and David Pashea of Bismarck, Mo.; three stepdaughters and two sons-in-law, Carol and Tony Arena of Fredericktown, Mo. Diane Trimble of Beatrice, Neb. and Debbie and Kenneth Perkins of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, George Hubbard of Sikeston, Harvey Hubbard of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Thomas Hubbbard of Lemay, Mo. and Eddie R. Hubbard of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two sisters, Lillian Jenkins of Sikeston and Shirley Noggle of Beebe, Ark.; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: four sons, Billy, David, Johnie and Ronnie Hubbard; two brothers, Freddie Hubbard and Thomas Hubbard Jr.; and one grandson.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. His nephew, George Hubbard Jr. will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Bill Heuring, Joey Heuring, Darrell Heuring, Caleb Hyde, Johnny Jenkins and Emory Oliver.
