Margaret Ray

SIKESTON - Margaret B. Ray, 86, died at 8:10 a.m. June 30, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center.

Born Nov. 27, 1916, in Crowder, daughter of the late James Walton and Clara Belle Baugher Beavers, she was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She had been a sales clerk for the Clinton-Baugher Store.

She was preceded in death by one son, Owen Monroe Ray Jr. on Dec. 26, 1980; and one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include: one granddaughter, Patricia Ann Wisely of Irondale; two brothers, Walton Beavers of Sikeston and John T. Beavers of St. Clair; and four sisters, Frances Kessler and Olive Cole of Sikeston, Stella Gosnell of Morehouse and Catherine Dover of Mound City, Ill.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ted Wimberley of Charleston will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
