CHAFFEE - Opal Coakley, 91, died at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 30, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born March 22, 1913, in Wyatt, daughter of the late James and Nanny Smith Stringfellow, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and RSVP in Chaffee. She was a volunteer for the Chaffee Nutrition Center and was a pink lady at the Chaffee General Hospital for many years.
On March 27, 1948, she married Raymond B. Coakley who preceded her in death on July 12, 1992.
Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Thursday until service time at 1 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Darren Larkin, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Hindman, Mike Eby, Kenny Story, Tom Story and Dean Faulk.
