ALLENVILLE -- Dorothy Lee Thompson, 87, died at 5:50 p.m. March 21, 2008, at her home.
Born Dec. 28, 1920, at Gravelhill, to the late John and Eula Proffer Davenport, she was a homemaker and a member of Allenville Missionary Baptist Church.
On June 28, 1941, she married Harry Alexander Thompson who preceded her in death on April 8, 1973.
Four brothers and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Harry Lee Thompson of Jackson and Phil S. Thompson and Bobby G. Thompson of Allenville; three daughters, Louis Hess of Chaffee, Betty Cook of Allenville and Janet Pender of Delta; one brother, Floyd Davenport of Page, Ariz.; one sister, Daisy Weinkind of Morgan, Kan.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Kenneth Shoemaker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be: David Coomer, Jason Deckard, Mike Thompson, Larry Wolfe, Ethan Foster, Chuck Hoots and Erie Foster.
