CHARLESTON -- Larry "Frog" Gillespie, 59, died March 10, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 30, 1948, in Henson, to the late Theodore and Sarah Smith Gillespie, he was employed by Ed Marshall, Jeff and Clay Shelby and Burke Brothers and Glitz before his retirement.
He married Lena Mae Quinn who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stacy and Barbara Andrews of Bloomington, Ill., and Michael and Shalonda Andrews and Larry Andrews of Charleston; two daughters, Carolyn Andrews of Charleston and Vickye Shackleford of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one brother, Emmitt Gillespie of Charleston; one sister, Margaret Nelson of Michigan City, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston with Darrin Horrell and Sylvester Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
