SpeakOut 6/24

Call 471-6636

How good is intelligence? Well in your case, not very good. You ask why Washington has the right to determine who is a threat to the country. If Washington does not have the authority to decide, then who the hell does? You? I hope not. You sound too much like an attorney. And thanks to Bill and Hillary, we all know how stupid attorneys are.

I am looking for someone who cleans windows for a business. Call this business from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at 471-3340. Leave your name and phone number and we will call you back.

I would like to thank Dave's Locksmith in Sikeston for helping me get into my house when I was locked out. It took about 15 minutes from the time I called him until he was able to help me get in the house. He did an excellent job.

I would like to comment about the girls softball league (ages 11-14). I would like to thank the coach of the Blue Team. He has done a fabulous job. My daughter plays on one of the other teams and I'd just like to recognize that coach because he shows such great sportsmanship, he cares about his girls and is working hard to improve the league.

With all this rain, the mosquitoes are really bad already. Get the spray trucks out as soon as possible.

If they have a noise ordinance here in Sikeston, why can't they stop the music from a local bar? I know you can't say the name of the place, but you can hear the music all the way to where I live near Sav-A-Lot. That's quite a ways from where this establishment is.

To file a complaint, call the Sikeston Department of Public Safety at 471-4711. All information will remain confidential.

Can you find out if the Scott County History Book is still going to be published, and if not, could they send the pictures back to their owners?

The book is still coming out, however there have been some delays in getting it done. Photos will be returned when the owners pick up their books. If you want your pictures before then, contact the society. For information about the Society and the history book, call Margaret Cline Harmon at (573) 335-0989; Caryl M. Hairston at 471-7381 or 471-5872; or Carolyn Frey at 262-2415.

Blunt should resign. He is a disgrace to the state of Missouri. Political correction is spelled "B-l-u-n-t."

Whoever took the fresh produce from County Road 472, we know who you are. If you need it worse than we do, that's fine, but if you don't report back to us, we will call the sheriff's department.

In answer to the piece in SpeakOut about President Bush spending $1 million a day to rebuild Iraq, the caller asked what happened to the rest of the money. If they're not smart enough to figure that out, they're not too smart because everybody knows who's going to get that money.

I am calling about the tax cut that is being distributed. If you will notice, there is nothing in there for the old people and there are a lot of old people who grew up in the '20s and '30s. Back then we didn't make any money. Even through our whole lifetime, things were bad. What about us? We don't get anything. They never give us nothing.

Social Security and Medicare?
