SIKESTON - Mrs. Gertrude Colley has received word that her son, Pfc. Stanley Colley, has been transferred from St. Petersburg, Fla., to New York, N.Y. He is now stated at Stewart's Technical School.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Larry Bohannon of Sikeston, Mo., who had a 17-5 pitching record in three years at Missouri, signed a contract Wednesday with the Minnesota Twins. He was assigned to Wilson, a farm club in the Class A Carolina League.

SIKESTON - Keith Allen Malcolm, son of Postmaster and Mrs. Pleas Malcolm of Sikeston, received his bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting at the University of Missouri on June 4. He has accepted a position with Fairbanks-Morse in Kansas City.

WARRENSBURG - Marshall Newman, 18, nephew of the Rev. and Mrs. Willie Simpson of Sikeston, was elected treasurer on the Nationalist Party ticket at Boys State of Missouri, sponsored by the American Legion.

SIKESTON - Miscues made the game dramatic, but solid fundamental hitting late in the contest saved the day for Sikeston's American Legion team. Sikeston held off Harrisburg, Ill., 5-4 in 10 innings Friday at VFW Stadium. Sikeston (9-2) took advantage of seven walks issued by Harrisburg pitcher Mark Hopson, who pitched the entire 10 innings.

SIKESTON - Stricker's Auto Body in Sikeston recently purchased a World Rack 2001, which repairs unibody or full-frame vehicles. The business also has a laser measuring system to check the accuracy of frame repaired. Brandon Stricker is owner of the business.
