Orville Pierce

PORTAGEVILLE - Orville Pierce, 79, died May 19, 2004, at the Beverly Healthcare Center in New Madrid.

Born March 29, 1925, in Paris, Tenn., son of the late Charlie and Hessie Pierce, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He and Shirley Wood were married in O'Fallon, Ill., and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, six daughters, five brothers, two sisters and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Mark Inman will officiate.

Entombment will follow in the Lake View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Fairview Heights, Ill.
