Myra Meyers

Born June 9, 1935, in McMullin, daughter of the late Lanus and Myra B. Minner Propst, she graduated in 1953 from Sikeston High School and attended Memphis State University. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Allegro Music Club, she taught piano lessons in Sikeston for many years before retiring.

On June 11, 1955, she married Arnold "Bud" Myers who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kim Myers of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Rodney Arnold of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Rob Propst of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Laura Talley of Sikeston and Alicia Arnold and Preston Arnold of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle Talley and Gabrielle Talley of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Propst.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. David Craig and the Rev. Bill Koch will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
