DEXTER -- Floyd James Hoffman, 83, died Nov. 21, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born June 11, 1924, in Dexter, to the late Elmer Henry and Mina Molly Neal Hoffman, he had lived most of his life in Dexter where he had attended the First Presbyterian Church. He was a retired parts department manager and had worked for Sigler Chevrolet, Evan's Buick and retired from Allen Christian Buick Pontiac GMC in Dexter. A U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II, he was the recipient of two Bronze Stars.

On Sept. 29, 1942, in Piggott, Ark., he married Irene Grim who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy and Jim Cochran of Doniphan and Jane Cathey and Susan and Steve Watkins of Dexter; and eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two step-great-

grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. tonight at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Tom Bass of Cape Girardeau will officiate assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
