Lois Meese

TALLAPOOSA -- Lois Berniece Meese, 72, died at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 19, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 28, 1935, in Tallapoosa, to the late Kern and Hazel Parthenia Stewart Royal, she was a retired private nurse.

She was first married to Frank Darmofal and then later to John Meese.

Survivors include: four sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Alice Darmofal and Christopher Darmofal of Tallapoosa, Mark Darmofal of Charleston and Tim Darmofal of the state of Georgia; two brothers, Curtis Royal of Horton, W.Va. and Gary Royal of Lance, Mich.; two sisters, Lucy Duvall of Bull Shoals, Ark., and Judy Wingfield of Frankfort, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Keith Darmofal and Jeff Darmofal.

Services will be held at a later date with Blanchard Funeral Chapel of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
