SIKESTON -- A Sikeston man was arrested for a drug-related offense late Tuesday at a home in Sikeston.
David C. Hedge, 43, of Sikeston was arrested about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, following a drug investigation by the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force.
Officers from the SEMO Drug Task Force, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety Special Operations Group, Scott County Sheriff's Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Drug Enforcement Administration served the search warrant at the residence located at 13 Sandywood Lane. They recovered about 20 grams of a powdery substance believed to be meth valued at about $2,000; and $1,700 in cash.
Hedge was taken to Scott County Sheriff's Department pending filing of charges by the Scott County Prosecuting Attorney.
