Flooding not over

The Mississippi River washes up higher and higher along the New Madrid riverfront. Sunday afternoon the levee was busy with visitors wanting to catch a glimpse of the rising flood waters which have plagued the Mississippi River valley.

At New Madrid the river is not expected to crest until Wednesday afternoon at 42 feet.
