SIKESTON - The Sikeston High School Bulldogs and the Charleston High School Bluejays will meet in a football game for the 37th time. The record thus far shows that Sikeston has won 21 times, Charleston 12 times and 3 games have been tied.


KENNETT - Miss Evelyn Crosno, daughter of Mr. and Mr. A.L. Crosno of Diehlstadt, was married to Herbert H. Teachout, son of Mr. J.E. Moore Jr. of Sikeston, at the Methodist Church in Kennett. The Rev. Chester Yoes officiated.

SIKESTON - Mrs. R.H. Hackley and Mrs. T.M. Spidell returned Tuesday night from Washington, D.C. where they attended a meeting of the North American Baptist Women's Union General Assembly in the Sheraton Park Hotel.

SIKESTON - Donations are still needed for Christmas lights for the official City of Lights Tree, according to Pat Marble, executive director. The lights, which have already been purchased, were strung Wednesday morning by the Sikeston Light and Water crew, however, more lights are needed as well as a large lighted star for the top. The City of Lights kick-off event will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Chamber office with the official lighting of the tree.

SIKESTON - St. Francis Xavier School in Sikeston recently had a Kathryn Beich fundraiser. The students together raised $12,529. Top sellers were: Christopher Shultz with $658, Raymond Matrisotto was $632; and Daniele Littweiker with $623.


SIKESTON - The Sikeston Bulldogs were handed their first loss of the season in Tuesday night's opening basketball game with Blytheville, Ark., at the Sikeston Field House. The Chickasaws out-played, out-rebounded and out-

hustled the Bulldogs the entire night while winning 78-52.
