MOREHOUSE - Joyce Payne, 67, died Nov. 10, 2007, at her home in Morehouse.
Born Feb. 14, 1940, near Oblong in Jasper County, Ill., daughter of the late Peter and Goldie Lillian Wilkerson Rennier, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and had been a counselor at the CPES Mental Health Center in Tempe, Ariz.
On June 17, 1961, she married Joe Payne who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Daniel Joe Payne of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Tonya Kay Johnson of Orangevale, Calif.; two brothers, Kenneth Rennier of St. Charles and Jerome Rennier of Sikeston; two sisters, Lillian Rennier of Sikeston and Theresa Mattingly of Champaign, Ill.; two half-brothers, Joseph "Joby" Rennier of Sikeston and Carl Rennier of St. Charles; one half-sister, Mary Schuchart of Sikeston; and three grandchildren, Corley, Mariah and Tess Johnson all of Orangevale.
One grandchild, Ramie Johnson; and three brothers, Queto, Theodore and Paul Rennier preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, with prayer services at 7 p.m. at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
