CHARLESTON -- Evelyn Cox Hailey, 84, died Nov. 11, 2007, at her home.
Born July 3, 1923, in Mississippi County, to the late James Calvin and Mary Agnes Goode Cox, she had lived her entire life in Charleston where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
On July 2, 1943, she married Lindell "Jack" Hailey, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1993.
Two sisters, Zella Cox and Hazel Cox preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie Allen and Dianna Hailey of Charleston and Jerry Lee and Wilma Hailey of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Bobby Nelson of Charleston and Evelyn Sue and James Cates of Edgar Springs; and 14 grandchildren and a number of great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. A eulogy will be offered by Dick Brown of Charleston.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Hailey, Jerry Hailey, Jeff Hailey, Christopher Cates, Donnie Garner and Jimmy Garrett.
