BENTON -- Wanda Kaye Carey, 48, died at 4:40 a.m. Dec. 3, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 20, 1959, at Sycamore, Ill., to Frank Jacox Jr. of Sycamore and Georgia Sloniker Jacox Hicks of Benton, she was a homemaker.
On Jan. 22, 1996, in Van Buren, she married Gerome Carey who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Heather Rene' and Chip Taylor of Diehlstadt, Holly Nicole and Harley McCurter of Warrensburg and Katelyn Raeanne Carey of the home; two brothers, Danny Hicks of Caruthersville and Larry Hicks of Bell City; two sisters, Cynthia Ray Bryant of New Hamburg and Patricia Lynn McDonough of Benton; her stepmother, Sue Jacox of Sycamore; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Hicks.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dwayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Shirley Cemetery near Potosi with the Rev. Jeff Richards officiating.
