EAST PRAIRIE -- Judson B. "J.B." Hill, 65, died at 12:42 p.m. Nov. 25, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 4, 1942, in Hughes, Ark., to the late James Henry and Annie Mae Rhyne Hill, he lived most of his life in East Prairie. He was employed by Gates Rubber Company until ill health forced his retirement in 1998. He has also been a member of the Volunteer Fire Department for the City of East Prairie and belonged to the New Beginnings Church in East Prairie.

On Nov. 21, 1964, in Dogwood, he was married to Lille Mae Adams, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Hill and Tina Whitson and James and Virginia Hill of East Prairie; one daughter-in-law, Chastity Rodriquez of East Prairie; one brother, Alfred Hill of East Prairie; five sisters, Judy Hill of Dexter, Ivanell Hudson of Advance, Sue Davis of Sikeston, Betty Pepper of St. Louis and Ocell Hamilton of LaCenter, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

One son, Judson B. Hill preceded him in death.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. Randy Askew and Pete Morton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Timmy Hill, Kevin Burney, Lloyd Burney, Arthur "Bud" Phillips, Kaleb Phillips and Butch Pritchett.
