Born Dec. 21, 1933, in Delta, son of the late Albert August and Frieda Pauline Allensworth Stoffregen, he was a member of the Arbor General Baptist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired as a plant supervisor for Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau and was a former member of the Delta Volunteer Fire Department.
On Nov. 23, 1957, at Arbor, he married Nancy L. Hester who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Rodney Stoffregen of St. Louis and Kris and Cheri Stoffregen of Jackson; one brother, Albert Stoffregen Jr. of Morehouse; four sisters, Dorothy Kelley, Evelyn Nussbaum and Barbara Swindwell of Delta and Linda McIntosh of East Prairie; and two grandchildren, Kali Stoffregen and Hunter Stoffregen of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Stoffregen.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kermit Patton will officiate.
Graveside military rites will be conducted at the Kenyon Cemetery near Delta.
