Sikeston golfers win first event

MALDEN -- The Sikeston golf team got the season off to a good start Monday by winning the Malden triad.

The Bulldogs finished with a 182 while Malden ended with a 198 and New Madrid County Central a 199.

Sikeston's Dakota Trevino was the medalist with a 41 and Bill Green finished fourth with a 47. Mark Fraser and Gratten Allen both tied for sixth with a 48.

Sikeston will be back in action Monday when they take part in the Notre Dame Tournament.
