SIKESTON - Frances White, 75, died at 10:15 am. Oct. 18, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born July 25, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Emily Mattingly Dace and Herman Mattingly, she was a graduate of Sikeston High School and the University of Missouri. She was a former first grade teacher at Sikeston Public Schools and, after retirement, she tutored children in her home. She was a former member of Chapter HB of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and of the Methodist belief.
On May 18, 1956, she married Harry White who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and John Ellis of Batesville, Ark., and Crystal White of New York.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the family home. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston with Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
