DUDLEY - Aubrey Ray Gant, 75, died Sept. 14, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Center.
Born Oct. 12, 1931, in Mauila, Ark., to the late Marvin Henry and Mary Jane Bell Gant, he was a member of the Dudley Church of Christ and a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War.
On July 10, 1954, in Corinth, Miss., he married Donnis Lee Litzler, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Bruce Gant of Dexter and Darin Gant of Scott City; one daughter, Jane Kingree of Dudley; one brother, James Gant of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Ruby Holman of Visala, Calif and Viola Williams of Springdale, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Gant and Bruce Gant; and two sisters, Beulah Morgan and Ann Matthews.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Stan Dauck of Bernie officiated, assisted by Gary Hicks.
Burial with full military honors followed in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
