SIKESTON - Joseph Cole Williams, 70, died at 8:50 a.m. Sept. 15, 2007, at his home.
Born Sept. 26, 1936, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late James F. and Pauline Kirby Williams, he owned and operated Joe's Security Locksmith for 25 years and was of the Baptist belief.
On Aug. 24, 1969, he married Alice McCain, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Krissi and Clayton Crum of Dexter, Angie and Jimmy Day of Saginaw, Texas, Kary and Jeff Hanes and Diana Owen of Memphis; one brother, James K. Williams of Como, Miss; six grandchildren, Brandon Williams of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ashley Whaley of Covington, Tenn., John Michael Clem and Josh Owen, of Memphis, and Trenton Day and Ashton Day of Saginaw; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Cole Williams Jr., in 1992.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Brandon Williams, John Michael Clem, Josh Owen, Clayton Crum, Jimmy Day and Jeff Hanes.
