ORAN -- Ralph Diebold, 64, died at 9:05 a.m. Oct. 9, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 9, 1943, in Oran, son of the late George and Eleanor L. LeGrand Diebold, he was a retired self-employed farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having been a frogman and part of the underwater demolition team in the 29th Class. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the Morley VFW Post No. 5368.
Survivors include: one brother, Marvin Diebold of Oran; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Rose and Clarence Nenninger of St. Ann and Donna Jean and Tim Rhodes of St. Mary; four nephews, Dan Nenninger, Darrell Nenninger, James Fisk and Scott Diebold; three nieces, Susan Drummond, Deborah Diebold and Dawn Diebold-Cook; and 14 great-nieces and great-
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. tonight at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where parish prayers are scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Glen Davis, Jerry Menz, Tom Brashear, Marty Priggel, DeWayne Abner, Gene Hannselmann and Mike Hatley.
