MOUNDS, Ill. - Deborah Ann Roberson, 44, died Oct. 8, 2007, at her home.
Born Sept, 14, 1963, in Charleston, Mo., to Charles Jackson and Ethel Lee "Polly" Williams of Wilson City, Mo., she was a graduate of Charleston High School and Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill. She was employed by the Mississippi Levee District before retiring due to ill health.
On Jan. 28, 2006, in Charleston, she married Alford McRay Roberson, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Charles Williams of Wilson City; one daughter, Tehonitniqua "Nicky" Williams of Mounds; eight brothers, Willie Anderson, Ray Anderson and George Williams of Peoria, Bobby Larry Jones of Wilson City, James C. Jones of Cincinnati, Melvin Williams and Charles Jackson Jr. of Charleston and Ronald Jones of Yazoo, Miss.; seven sisters, Everlene "Kitty" Cummings of Peoria, Teresa Greer of Wilson City, Vicky Jackson, Ruth Jackson, Linda Jackson, Pat Jackson and Karen Barbee of Peoria; 23 stepchildren including Alford Holmes of Villa Rige, Orlando Roberson of Champaign, Nathaniel Roberson of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Razine Smith of Paducah, Ky., and Ray-Ray Roberson of Detroit; one granddaughter, 39 stepgrandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren.
One son, Demetrius Williams, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston. The Rev. Richard Dowell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Mounds.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
