CHARLESTON -- Frances Hart, 85, died Oct. 9, 2007, at 12:15 p.m. in the Golden Age Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Sept. 20, 1922, in New Madrid, daughter of the late Riley and Edith Dottie Bell Cade Metheny, she lived most of her life in Charleston. She retired from the Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
On July 14, 1938, in Whiting, she married Richard Hart who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1995.
Survivors include: three sons, Larry Hart, David Hart and Mike Hart of Charleston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy Hart of Charleston and Jeanie and Jimmy Choate of Crown Point, Ind.; and 13 grandchildren, 22 great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Richard Hart and Wayne Hart; one daughter, Frances Cooper; one stepbrother, Bobby Bradley; one stepsister, Katherine Humphrey; and one great-
grandchild preceded her in death.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. Dolan Rogers will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
