Freshmen beat Notre Dame

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Sikeston ninth grade basketball team improved to 10-2 on the season with a 56-46 victory against Notre Dame on Tuesday at Notre Dame Regional High School.

Sikeston trailed 10-6 after one quarter and 20-16 at halftime. Sikeston out-

scored Notre Dame 18-9 in the third quarter to take a 34-29 lead into the fourth quarter.

Sikeston out-scored Notre Dame 22-17 in the final frame.

Sikeston was led by Richard Andrews' 23 points. Dominic Fondon had 17 points.

Notre Dame was led by Kirkpatrick's 19 points.
