SIKESTON - E.E. McAmis will be the new president of the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce following an election of officers held last night at a regular meeting of the group at the Dunn Hotel.

SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher Scism and son moved Monday to Cape Girardeau. where they have bought a new home. The residence which they have vacated will be occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Lindley.

SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Dewint Zaricor celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Sunday at an open house at their home. They were married Feb. 3, 1943, in Phoenix. They have two children, Michael and Toni Lynn.

CHARLESTON - Proposed changes in mobile home ordinances, liquor regulations and a mutual aid fire assistance agreement, headed Tuesday evening's agenda for the City Council.

SIKESTON - Tickets are still available for the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year Banquet, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the National Guard Armory.

SIKESTON - A variety of people from the surrounding area gathered recently to discuss specific infant mortality issues in each county in a continuing effort to reduce the number of infant mortalities in the Bootheel. The regional consortium and five supporting councils are being established as part of the Bootheel Healthy Start Project to focus on the power of community collaboration and education.

SIKESTON - One hundred thirty young actors and actresses spoke, sang and danced in their quest to land one of the 66 parts for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of "Jack and the Beanstalk."
