SIKESTON - A variety of people from the surrounding area gathered recently to discuss specific infant mortality issues in each county in a continuing effort to reduce the number of infant mortalities in the Bootheel. The regional consortium and five supporting councils are being established as part of the Bootheel Healthy Start Project to focus on the power of community collaboration and education.
