SCOTT CITY - Mabel Bain, 77, died at 6:16 p.m. Sept. 26, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 10, 1930, at Spanish Grant, to the late Walter Lee and Mandy Hallmark Bromley, she had been a bookkeeper for Auto Trim Design in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the Cape Girardeau South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On May 17, 1947, at East Prairie, she married O.C. Bain who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1986.
One son, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Bain and Rick Bain of Scott City; two daughters, Charlotte Kelsey of Scott City and Pam Collins of Dexter; one brother, James Bromley of Fenton; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Cape Girardeau with Allen Laszewski officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Bain, Jordan Bain, Micah Bain, Jody Kelsey, Dustin Bain and Nathan Collins.
