KELSO -- Vickie Sue Rice and Rick Heuring were united in marriage during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony July 7, 2007, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin, pastor; and Joshua Carpenter officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dorothy Phillips of Fisk and the late Paul Rice. Parents of the bridegroom are George and Gladys Heuring of Scott City. Vocalists Walter Seyer and Renee Reinagel and organist Betty Ressel provided music for the occasion.
Given in marriage by her son, Chris Rice, the bride wore a white sequined gown featuring pearls and a cathedral train.
Maid of honor was Sandi Phillips of Bloomfield, and bridesmaids were Shirley Carlyle of East Prairie and Pam Jones of Dexter.
Flower girls were Heather Yates and Grace Yates, daughters of Rodney and Amy Yates of St. Louis.
Gary Heuring of Kelso served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Don Heuring of Fruitland, brother of the bridegroom; and Wayne Diebold of Branson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
Ringbearer was Carter Heuring, nephew of the bridegroom and son of Gary and Leanne Heuring of Kelso.
Candlelighters were Ragie Raga and Maricris Ubadillo of Farmington, friends of the bride.
Ushers were Chris Rice of San Diego, son of the bride; and Danny Heuring of Marble Hill, nephew of the bridegroom.
A reception hosted by the bridegroom's parents followed at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Cape Girardeau.
Reception assistants were Carol Hunter of Poplar Bluff, Karla Crowden of Jackson and Diane Diebold of Branson.
Following a Caribbean cruise to Aruba and St. Thomas, the new Mr. and Mrs. Heuring are making their home in Kelso.
