DEXTER - Mary Lois Morris, 70, died March 1, 2008, at Missouri Southern Health Care in Dexter.
Born May 21, 1937, in Stoddard County, to the late John and Elizabeth Wyman Payne, she grew up in St. Louis and moved to Dexter 14 years ago. She worked as an inspector for U.S. Poly, was a member of the Dexter Eagles Lodge and was of the Baptist belief.
In 1952, at St. Louis, she married Donald Morris and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Morris; one brother, Bill Payne; and one granddaughter, Rochelle Clark.
Survivors include: two sons, Mike Morris and Don Morris of Dexter; one daughter, Joanie Clark of Dexter; two sisters, Polly Tominski of St. Louis and Mabel Neal of Poplar Bluff; and one brother, Donald Payne of Farmington.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. Scott Sutton of Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Bellfountain.
