MARSTON -- D.L. Cook, 65, died Feb. 29, 2008, at his home.

Born July 13, 1942, at Marston, to the late Henry C. and Martha Meinz Cook, he was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran.

On Nov. 23, 1962, at Marston, he married Pauline Kirk who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three brothers, Donald Cook of Canalou, Earnest Cook of Granite City, Ill., and Jerry Cook of Alton; four sisters, Bonnie Walls of J.Y., Pat Copeland of Tally, Panzie Hinkilin of Marston and Sheila Robertson of Granite City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Cook.

Services were conducted today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with the Rev. Frank Townsend officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Billy Cunningham, Lance Walls, David "Bubba" Hinklin, Ronald Mims, Melvin Mims and Jerry Mims.
