WAPPAPELLO - Ronald Gene Griffin, 64, formerly of Bloomfield, died at 11:22 p.m. Feb. 6, 2005, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Wappapello.
Born Nov. 14, 1940, in Sikeston, son of the late John M. and Georgia P. Hagy Griffin, he was a truck driver. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello and Puxico Masonic Lodge 549.
On March 25, 1972, in Bloomfield, he married Jewell Dean King. She and her daughter, Regina Darlene King Constantine, also died in the traffic accident.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Griffin of Advance and Vallie Griffin of Dexter; two brothers, John Griffin and Dick Griffin of Morley; four sisters, Betty Emerson and Marsha Centanni of Morley, Sandy Abner of Bell City and Jane Rogers of Bloomfield; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Combined funeral services for Griffin, his wife and stepdaughter will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bruce Pittman, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
