WAPPAPELLO - Jewell Dean Griffin, 69, formerly of Bloomfield, died at 11:22 p.m. Feb. 6, 2005, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Wappapello.
Born Feb. 17, 1936, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Robert A. and Lena M. James Burns, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello and Order of the Eastern Star in Puxico.
In 1954, she married Edward King who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1969.
On March 25, 1972, she and Ronald Gene Griffin were married in Bloomfield. He and her daughter, Regina Darlene King Constantine, also died in the traffic accident.
Five brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Lendell Dean King of Buford, Ga., and Mark Dwayne King of Sherman, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Combined funeral services for Mrs. Griffin, her husband and her daughter will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bruce Pittman, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
