SIKESTON - Loleta M. "Lee" Sides, 93, died at 3:30 p.m. June 30, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 28, 1913, in Flat River, daughter of the late Frank and Olive LaPlante Matkin, she was a sales and service representative for 35 years with Gaylord Container Corporation in St. Louis before retiring April 30, 1976. She moved from St. Louis to Sikeston in 1976, where she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Legion of Mary.
On Dec. 4, 1931, in Farmington, she was united in marriage to Howard Hopkins Sides, who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1937.
One son, John H. "Jack" Sides; and one sister, Sybil Zabel also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one grandson, John Howard Sides Jr. of Denton, Texas; two granddaughters, Julia Ann Sides and Jennifer Wells of Houston; one great-
grandson, Branden Sides of Sikeston; one sister, Ritamae Limbaugh of Desloge; and two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Frances Xavier Church with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Jim French officiating at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Desloge.
