ORAN -- James Don Graviett, 47, died at 3 a.m. June 30, 2006, at Cape Girardeau, due to a motorcycle accident on May 26.
Born May 4, 1959, at Cape Girardeau, son of Roy Edward Graviett and the late Stella "Suggie" Stubenrauch Graviett, he was a self-employed farmer and machine operator at Good Humor-Breyers in Sikeston. A former member of the Oran Jaycees and member of the Jaycee hunting club in Oran, he belonged to the H.O.G. in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors in addition to his father include: two sons, Johnathan Graviett of Chaffee and Chris Graviett of Oran; one daughter, Vicki Johnson of Sikeston; two brothers, Edward Graviett of Benton and Dickie J. Graviett of Oran; three sisters, Patricia Wilcox of Clarksville, Tenn., Connie Purvis of Purvis, Miss. and Sherri Beeson of East Prairie; and four grandchildren, Skylar Copeland, Dawson Copeland, Wyatt Copeland and Levi Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran, where services will be at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Eric Schrum will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Wagoner, Kurt Prindle, Dale Williams, Larry Holt, David Westmorlan and Phil Shimon.
