BELL CITY - Roy Vernon Hastings, 77, died Sept. 11, 2005 at the John Cochran V.A. Medical Center in St. Louis.
Born July 22, 1928, in Poplar Bluff, the son of the late Sherdan and Amy Huback Hastings, he moved to Bell City after living many years in St. Louis. He was a retired custodian and maintenance worker with the St. Louis County Library and attended the Apostolic Church of God. He was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran.
On June 15, 1967, in St. Louis, he married Virginia Hurley who survives of the home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Hastings.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with John Hurley of Canalou officiating.
Burial will follow at a later date in The Rombauer Cemetry in Rombauer.
