TEXARKANA, Texas -- Charlie Thomas Wade, 68, died July 10, 2005, at the Burn Center of Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., following a farm accident.
Born Jan. 1, 1937, in Luxora, Ark., son of the late R.W. and Lucille Reynolds Wade, he lived and worked most of his life in the Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas area. He was a 1956 graduate of Blodgett High School and spent several years as an OTR car hauler out of Bossier City/Shreveport. In recent years, he was a self-employed farmer in the Texarkana area. He served on the Board of Directors of Miller-Bowie Farm Supply in Texarkana for the past several years. During the off-season, he enjoyed RV travel with friends across the USA and spending time in Branson.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Denise Wade of Waskom, Texas, and Ted and Angela Wade of Texarkana, Ark.; two brothers, Earl Wade of Blodgett, Mo., and Kelles Wade of Sikeston, Mo.; four sisters, Christina Rice and Molly Evans of Blodgett, Peggi Byrd of Sikeston and Judy Leeming of Mountain View, Mo.; five grandchildren, Thomas Wade Jr., Lesleigh Wade, Heather Wade, Lauren Wade and Landon Wade; and one great-
granddaughter, Emmalee Wade.
One sister, Mary Lucille Wade, preceded him in death.
Services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
Burial followed in the Blodgett Cemetery.
