GIDEON - Jackie "Jack" Ronald Nowling, 74, died April 2, 2005, at his home.
Born June 16, 1930 in BrownsTown, Ind., to the late Clarence and Geneva Holmes Nowling, he was a retired police officer and head of Security at ASI. A veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1950-54 in the Korean War, he was affiliated with the Catholic church.
On June 23, 1952, at Seymour, Ind., he married Rita Greenwell who survives of the home.
Other survivors include; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Michael and Darlene Nowling of North Vernon, Ind.; four daughters and three sons-in-
law, Sheila and Paul Temple of Portageville, Pam and Ralph Pruitt of Gideon, and Lisa and Clayton Haynes and Shannon Guthrie of Princeton, Ky.; one sister, Linda Francis of Clarksville, Tenn.; and 14 grandchildren and 13 great-
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Donald Nowling, and one great-grandchild, Corbin Michael Nowling.
Visitation will be Tuesday at the Voss and Son Funeral Home in Seymour, Ind. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour.
Burial will follow at the River View Cemetery in Seymour.
Pallbearers will be: Yancy Temple, Chance Oliver, Christopher Gray, Lonnie Nowling, Matt Tittle and Bob Donica.
DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville is in charge of local arrangements.
