ADVANCE - Albert James Elfrank, 85, died April 2, 2005, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 25, 1919, at Perkins to the late William and Amanda St. Cin Elfrank, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Advance United Methodist Church. A member of the Fraternal Order of Masons for 60 years, he received the 32nd Degree in March 1963 and the 33rd Degree in December 1977. Also he was a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Cape Shrine Club and an honorary life member of the DeMolay.

He served on the Masonic Home Board from 1981 to 1985 and in 1986 received the Masonic Truman Medal. President of the Rural Electric Co-op in Sikeston for 21 years, he also served as president of the Association of Missouri Electric Co-op from 1990-1991.

Albert and Mildred Lenon were united in marriage on July 9, 1938, at Perkins. She preceded him in death in 1979. In March 1999 at Sikeston he married Mildred Proffer, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Elfrank Parrish and Troy Parrish of Lilburn, Ga., and Diana Elfrank Holden of Diamond Head, Miss.; two stepchildren, Theresa Calvin of Sikeston and Anthony Proffer of Las Vegas; two sisters, Juanita Irwin of Morley and Alice Tucker of Osceola; three grandchildren, David Simms of Kiln, Miss., Tammy Fields of Diamond Head and Justin Parrish of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shannon Albert Simms; a sister and a brother.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance where a Rose Croix Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. followed by a Masonic service.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Advance Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Eighmy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
