Sally Whitson

DEXTER -- Sally Nadine Whitson, 82, died March 20, 2005, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born June 9, 1922, at Parma, daughter of the late Orlin Jefferson and Alma Christmas Chadwell, she was a homemaker.

On Oct. 8, 1959, in Bloomfield, she married Melvin Whitson who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1985.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Parker; four brothers, Birl Chadwell, Junior Chadwell, Dale Chadwell and Jackie Chadwell; and one sister, Betty Sneed.

Survivors include: one son, Roy Mitchell Parker of Dexter; two daughters, Darlene Lemons of Bloomfield and Dianne Lemons of Dexter; four brothers, Charles Owen Chadwell of Hot Springs, Ark., Lige Chadwell and James Chadwell of Dexter, and L.B. Chadwell of Kennett; three sisters, Pat Chastain of Texas, Mary Lee Strickland and Maxine Milde of Mississippi and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
