CHAFFEE -- Goldie Elizabeth Asher, 82, died Aug. 19, 2005, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 7, 1923, in Benton, daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Sophia Frances Stuppy McBride, she was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.
On Oct. 3, 1941, she married Dennis LaCroix Sr. who preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1976.
On Nov. 4, 1978, she married Virgil Clyde Asher, and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1993.
One son, one daughter, four brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Edward LaCroix of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three daughters, Carol Matteson of West Port, Wash., Maujeva Overfield of Chaffee and Dee LaCroix of Scott City; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee. The Rev. Marty Blakley and the Rev. Don Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be: Chip Steger, Doug Overfield, Dustin Leggett, Brian Burnette, Steve Felty and Danny Bradley.
