Route 60 lane closures planned

SIKESTON -- The eastbound lanes of Route 60 in Scott and Stoddard counties will be reduced to one lane next week, weather permitting.

The lane closure is necessary while a contractor hired by the Missouri Department of Transportation diamond grinds the lanes to smooth the surface.

The lane closure is expected from 6 a.m. till 6 p.m. daily Monday through Wednesday. The work will take place from Route 114 to the Route 60/Interstate 55 interchange.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in the work zone.
