Tuesday fire

Firefighters with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety work to extinguish a fire at Gilmore Tire Center at 121 Harlene St. Tuesday night. The fire was called in at just after 10 p.m. and when firefighters arrived the building was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were on the scene for two-and-a-half hours and the cause of the fire has still not been determined. The business received extensive damage.
