GIDEON - Hugh Feral Landers, 73, died Feb. 16, 2005, at his home.
Born April 3, 1931, in Kennett, son of the late Walter and Daisy Young Landers Sr., he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tallapoosa and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On Dec. 10, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., he married Bernice Handley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Sammy and Judy Landers and David Landers of Gideon; one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Tom Stone of Corbin, Ky.; two brothers, Walter "J.R." Landers Jr. of Lilbourn and Don Landers of Malden; three sisters, Shirley Goode of Sikeston, Inez Bond of Risco and Ida Belle Terry of Lilbourn; and five grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded him in death.
Visitation begins at 7 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Gene Lancaster will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
