Charles Hill and Daniel Brasher, both employees of the Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation Weatherization, removed a love seat from the DAEOC Homeless Shelter Monday afternoon. The homeless center was flooded Sunday by the heavy rain causing the evacuation of 18 people living in the shelter. All six units and the office area were flooded with several items from the each having to be thrown away. The shelter is seeking donations of bedding, toys, furniture, clothing, bed frames and box springs to help furnish the units. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter at 820 Anderson. The American Red Cross is finding shelter for the six families.
