SIKESTON -- Evelyn Georgia "Polly" Rodgers, 82, died July 15, 2005, at her home.
Born May 26, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Jacob and Virginia Kirby Laub, she had retired April 30, 1975, from International Shoe Company where she had been a line worker. She was also a member of the Community Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On Dec. 24, 1944, in Benton, she married Kenneth Franklin Rodgers who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1967.
One brother and one nephew also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one brother, William H. Laub of Benton; and three nieces, Janice Keith of Jackson, Kim Laub Scott of Sikeston and LaDonna Laub of Benton.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time for services at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glen Cantrell, pastor of the Sikeston Community Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
