Born Aug. 9, 1924, in Sikeston, to the late V.A. and Eva Crunk Tubbs, she worked at Potlatch as a packer and later as an inspector for 28 years before retiring. A member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Sikeston, she graduated as valedictorian from Vanduser High School.
Survivors include: two sisters and one brother-in-law, Beatrice "Bea" Tubbs of Sikeston and Thelma and Perry Curtis of Kingman, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Jack Tubbs, Johnnie Tubbs, Dick Tubbs and Bud Tubbs, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
